Care journey
What the first 90 days of metabolic care look like.
GLP-1 therapy is not a quick fix. Here is an honest, timeline-based view of what to expect from assessment through your first renewal.
Phase 1 — Days 0–7
Assessment & provider review.
Assessment submitted
Complete your 8-question eligibility intake. No credit card is required. Your answers are encrypted and transmitted securely to our clinical review team.
Provider review begins
A licensed physician or nurse practitioner reviews your full health history, checks contraindications, and evaluates clinical eligibility for GLP-1 therapy.
Eligibility decision + onboarding
You receive a decision via email. If approved, you complete membership enrollment and the onboarding fee is charged. If not approved, no charge applies.
Prescription sent to pharmacy
Your provider sends a prescription to an NABP-verified pharmacy. Most first shipments arrive within 5–7 days of prescription issuance.
Phase 2 — Weeks 2–4
First dose & early response.
The first few weeks are the adjustment period. Most people experience some GI side effects (nausea, mild discomfort) as their body adapts to the medication. These typically resolve within 2–4 weeks and are managed by starting at the lowest effective dose.
What to expect weeks 1–4
Appetite changes
Most members notice reduced appetite within the first 1–2 weeks. This is the primary mechanism of GLP-1 therapy.
GI side effects
Nausea and mild discomfort are common early on. Starting on the lowest dose minimizes this significantly.
Day 14 check-in
Your care coordinator reviews your response and addresses any side effect concerns before dose adjustment decisions.
No early results
Most metabolic changes take 4–12 weeks to become measurable. Week 2 is too early to assess outcomes.
First care coordinator check-in
Review your early response, discuss any side effects, and confirm next steps. Dose adjustment decisions are made at or after this point based on your response.
Phase 3 — Weeks 4–8
Titration & response tracking.
As your body adjusts to the starting dose, your provider may recommend a dose increase (titration) based on your response and tolerability. This phase is where most members begin to see measurable changes in weight and metabolic markers.
Month 1 review + renewal
Your provider reviews your 30-day data. If progressing well, your membership renews automatically. You can cancel at any point before the renewal date.
Dose titration (if applicable)
Based on your response and tolerability, your provider may increase your dose to the next level. Titration schedules follow ADA/AACE-aligned protocols.
Biomarker tracking begins (Care + Complete)
Weight, HbA1c trends, blood pressure, and other relevant markers are logged in your portal and reviewed at each check-in.
Phase 4 — Day 90
90-day comprehensive assessment.
At 90 days, your provider conducts a full progress review. This is where initial outcomes are most measurable and where long-term care planning happens.
Comprehensive progress assessment
Full review of biomarkers, weight trajectory, medication tolerability, and goals alignment. Your provider updates your care plan for the next phase — which may include continued current therapy, dose adjustment, or transition to maintenance.
