How it works

Four steps to personalized metabolic care.

We designed every step around a single principle: a real clinician reviews your health history before any medication is prescribed.

Step 01

Complete your assessment.

Answer 8 clinical questions about your health history, current medications, weight goals, and GLP-1 experience. The assessment takes about 3 minutes. No credit card is captured at this stage.

✓8 questions covering goals, health history, and GLP-1 experience
✓State and ZIP validation — we confirm your state is supported
✓HIPAA consent captured before any data is stored
✓Provisional eligibility shown immediately — pending provider review

Step 02

A licensed provider reviews your history.

Your intake is not processed by an algorithm. A U.S. licensed physician or nurse practitioner reads your full health history and makes an independent clinical determination. Most reviews complete within 1 business day.

✓NPI-verified providers only — no unlicensed practitioners
✓Contraindication screening: MTC, MEN 2, active pancreatitis, pregnancy
✓Medication interaction review with your current drug list
→If no path forward: onboarding fee refunded in full

Step 03

Receive your personalized care plan.

When clinically appropriate, your provider prescribes an FDA-approved GLP-1 therapy matched to your profile. Your prescription is routed to an NABP-verified pharmacy for fulfillment. Most members receive their first shipment within 5–7 days of approval.

✓FDA-approved medications only — semaglutide, tirzepatide, or liraglutide as appropriate
✓NABP-verified pharmacy fulfillment — cold-chain certified
✓Starting dose calibrated to your health history and goals
✓Medication cost disclosed before you commit — no surprises

Important Safety Information (ISI) — GLP-1 Receptor Agonists

GLP-1 receptor agonists (semaglutide, tirzepatide, liraglutide) are FDA-approved prescription medications. They are not appropriate for everyone. Do not use if you or a family member have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Serious risks include: pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney problems, hypoglycemia (in patients using insulin or insulin secretagogues), heart rate increase, suicidal ideation and behavior, and serious allergic reactions. Tell your provider about all medications you take and all medical conditions.

The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach pain. These are usually mild and decrease over time.

Not for use in patients with type 1 diabetes. If you experience severe abdominal pain, stop the medication and seek immediate medical attention. For full prescribing information, consult your Meridian Health provider.
